How much does a website cost in Guyana?
It's the first question almost everybody asks, and the honest answer is: it depends on what the website has to do. This guide explains what makes a website cost more or less in Guyana, what you'll pay after launch, and how to get an exact quote in a day.

What kind of website do you need?
| Project type | What it usually includes | From | Example we've built |
|---|---|---|---|
| Business website | A few pages, mobile-first design, WhatsApp and a contact form, Google setup | G$95,000 | Bess Consulting Group |
| Showcase or portfolio | Heavier design and photography, project galleries, an optional AI enquiry assistant | G$180,000 | Euphoria Architecture |
| Rental or property site | Listings, availability, viewing requests | G$250,000 | Gia's Villa |
| Online store | Products, cart, WhatsApp or online-payment checkout, order notifications | G$250,000 | Interlude.XI |
| Booking system | Availability, bookings with a reference, payments, a staff back office | G$450,000 | 555 Speedway |
| Platform or web app | User accounts, dashboards, rankings, admin tools | G$850,000 | CHAMPS GY |
| Business software | Invoicing, job costing, stock, built around your process | G$1,500,000 | BillBook, SiteBook |
These are starting prices in Guyanese dollars, not packages — every project gets its own fixed written quote before any work begins. The further down the table, the more the site has to do, and the more it costs to build and test properly.
What makes a website cost more (or less)
- What it has to do. Showing information costs the least. Taking bookings, selling products or accepting payments needs a back end, testing and security, and that's where most of the cost is.
- How many different page designs. Ten pages that share one layout cost less than five pages that each need their own design.
- Payments. WhatsApp checkout needs no payment provider. MMG, card or PayPal adds setup and testing work, plus the provider's own approval. See online payments in Guyana.
- Content. If you supply the words, photos and prices ready to go, the project is faster and costs less. Copywriting, product photography and video are extra.
- Connections to other tools. Accounting, a CRM, Eventbrite, Google Calendar or delivery each adds work.
- Custom or template. A template costs less up front, but looks like a lot of other sites and is harder to change later. Everything we build is custom.
- Deadline. A launch that has to happen much sooner than usual means other work moves, and it's priced that way.
How much does a website cost per month?
After launch, a website has running costs, and you should know them before you sign. A care plan starts at G$15,000 a month and covers the items marked below:
- Domain name, renewed every year. A .com and a .gy are priced differently.
- Hosting. A fast static site, like most of ours, costs very little to host. Sites with accounts, bookings or a database cost more.
- Business email, charged per person per month by the email provider.
- Payment fees. MMG, card gateways and PayPal each charge per transaction. Those fees go to the provider, not to us.
- Maintenance (optional): updates, changes and someone to message when something looks wrong.
Your quote lists every one of these, line by line.
Cheap website or custom website: what you're paying for
You can get a website in Guyana for very little: a free builder, a template, or a friend who does websites on the side. For some businesses that's the right call. The problems show up later: the site is slow on mobile data, it doesn't show up on Google, nobody can reach the person who built it, or the business outgrows it and has to start again.
Paying more makes sense when the website has a job to do: book viewings, sell stock, take deposits, or replace a pile of WhatsApp messages. If it earns or saves more than it costs, it's an investment. If all you need is a phone number and opening hours online, a free Google Business Profile might be enough to start, and we'll tell you so.
How much does it cost to build an app in Guyana?
Apps cost more than websites: there are two platforms (iPhone and Android), app store reviews, and usually a back end with user accounts. We build apps with React Native and Expo, so one codebase ships to both stores, which keeps the cost well below building two separate apps. Many businesses are better served by a fast web app first, which works on every phone with no download. Custom software and apps →
