BillBook.gy home page

The public face of BillBook. It has to explain VAT software to a shop owner in one scroll, answer the price question up front, and get them signed up in under two minutes — with an AI helper answering questions along the way.

What we built

  • Pricing in Guyana dollars, with a free plan up front
  • Pages for contractors, mini-marts, restaurants, trucking and salons
  • A free import-duty calculator, its vehicle maths checked against GRA's own examples
  • Tristan, an AI helper that answers questions on the page

The standout

Tristan answers the moment they ask

An AI helper on the page answers questions in plain English — prices, VAT, how getting paid works — with plan prices fed straight from the live price list. When someone's ready, it points them to the free plan.

The breakdown

Everything it does, front to back.

8 things this site handles — most of them invisible until you need them.

What visitors see

  • One-scroll explanation

What BillBook does, who it's for and what it costs — before anyone has to ask.

  • A page per industry

Contractors, mini-marts, restaurants, trucking and salons each get their own page.

  • Pricing in G$

    A free plan, then G$4,000, G$5,500 and G$18,000 a month, with a 21-day free trial of Growth.

  • Free import-duty calculator

Duty on vehicles and everyday goods, with the vehicle maths checked against GRA's own worked examples.

  • A help centre

Plain-English guides on VAT, documents, sharing, payments and stock.

What runs behind it

  • The AI stays on the server

Tristan talks to the AI through BillBook's own server, so the account key never reaches the browser.

  • Guard rails

Rate-limited per visitor, a short memory and plain-text answers. It says it's AI when asked, and it's told to quote only the real price list, with no made-up discounts or dates.

  • One price list for site and app

Plan prices come from the same list the app bills from, so a price change shows up on the site and in the app together.
